Job Description Shop Manager

Location of job: Kapuna Hospital, Papua New Guinea

Timing of job: As soon as possible

Duration of job: At least one year

Remuneration: volunteer allowance

Introduction

In Kapuna Hospital is a small shop, providing the Hospital staff, volunteers and locals from basic groceries and supplies. Every month orders need to be done and supplies come with the Total barge to Kapuna. Any profit of the shop is given to Kapuna Hospital and the Kapuna Life School. We need a shop manager, to do the orders, administration and counting of supplies and money.

Responsibilities

As a shopmanager in Kapuna you are responsible for:

• Stock management and ordering
• Communication with suppliers
• Special orders for the community
• Supervising staff
• Leading devotions
• Using and supporting staff either EFTPOS and Point of Sales system
• Cash counting and oversight of cash flow for the shop

 

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone who is reliable and has some experience with excel and is willing to learn the computer and payment-systems used in our shop. In order to live and enjoy life in this remote place, it would be good if you are flexible and able to cope with different living conditions. Other than that we are hoping that you are a committed Christian who is open to have fellowship with our community.
